This huge spot stays open on Saturdays until 8 am. It's been hot ever since it opened back in the early 1980's as London's answer to Studio 54. The computerized lighting system with seven colors and moving effects, which reflects Camden Palace's prior life as a theater, is incredible. The music is very, very loud. The techno sculptures in the bars offer techno emersion into rather mainstream sounds. Food's not much, but the under 30 set doesn't seem to mind. The best nights to go are Saturdays and "feet first" Tuesdays. Cover charges start at £5 ($7:50) to £10 ($15) during the week and can run to £20 ($30) for the Saturday all-night sessions.
